A wildfire was burning south of Temecula on Tuesday afternoon, Cal Fire's Kendal Bortisser told KPCC.
There were mandatory evacuations off of Temepa Road, west of Temecula Road, earlier in the afternoon, but evacuations were lifted as of 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.
This story is no longer being updated as of 7 p.m. Tuesday, though the Fire Tracker will continue to update.
"Firefighters are doing their very best to get this thing picked up as quickly as they can," he added.
Multiple firefighting agencies were fighting the blaze, Bortisser said, tackling it from both the air and the ground.

Correction: An earlier version of this story spelled the name of Temepa Road incorrectly. KPCC regrets the error.
