You know it’s summer when there are strawberries and outdoor movies on the list this weekend — and barring any traffic around the Hollywood area, it's all looking pretty sweet.
California grows almost 80 percent of the strawberries consumed in the U.S. and now is the peak time for harvesting. Taste some fresh, California grown strawberries (and many other desserts and drinks) at L.A.’s only strawberry festival. The event features live music, carnival rides and games, and a beer garden for the adults. Pro tip: Looking for something a little more refined? The L.A. Food Fest is also going down this weekend for your dining pleasure.

For a relaxing and calming fix this weekend, peruse through several pop-up galleries by the ocean. Catch this culmination of music, art and mouthwatering food at a sheltered harbor in Marina del Rey. Spend the day hula hooping, basking in the beer and wine garden or just soak in the scenery. Can you say relaxation?

The Getty Villa is transporting visitors to the ancient city of Rome with sights — and smells? This weekend, the museum launches a new smelling experience in collaboration with the Institute for Art and Olfaction. Visitors can get a sniff of eight scents from Ancient Rome and even craft their own bottle of perfume. There’s also games, songs, and comedy from the comedic toga-wearing Troubadour Theater Company.
Yup, there's another one: three miles for Angelenos to walk, bike or run along without any interruption from the city's vehicle overlords. You might not be super enthusiastic about the exercise but you might just be able to see the city in a different way. Pro tip: If you're looking for something a bit more eclectic, just follow the trail of bikers with their bums out.

The weeklong celebration of Los Angeles’ LGBTQ+ community and its allies comes to an epic close this weekend. The L.A. Pride Festival is Saturday and Sunday with performances from Aaron Carter, Brandy, Chromeo, and more. This year, L.A. Pride is hosting a #ResistMarch instead of the annual parade, which will cause some significant street closures in the area.
One of the longest running shows in Hollywood will hit a landmark feat and they're celebrating with a whole new production featuring an epic line-up of comedic performers, including special guest Ric Rosario. As always, it'll riff off current events in politics and entertainment, perfect for releasing some of that stress.
Sounds like a dream, right? This behemoth of a pizza will actually be a reality, as an ambitious group of people attempt to bake the world's longest pizza (hence the use of a race track.) All proceeds will go to the local Homeless Shelters and Food Banks. Folks from Guinness Book of Records will be present to make it official before you dig in.
