After months of negotiations, a contract agreement has been reached between the United Food and Commercial Workers union and the Ralphs, Albertsons, and Vons supermarket chains. The deal averts a threatened strike by the UFCW's 65,000 members, who still have to ratify the deal. KPCC's All Things Considered host Shirley Jahad spoke with Greg Conger, a lead negotiator for the union and president of Local 324 in Orange County.
