Larry Mantle and guests talk about the history of Catalina Island, including a look at the reign of the Wrigleys and the advent of the Catalina Island Conservancy. They also discuss the issues related island demographics and culture and the development and evolution of the island as a tourist destination. Guests include: Stacey Otte, Director of the Catalina Island Museum; Rudy Piltch, a life-long Catalina resident who retired from the planning department of the Catalina Island Company and served on the Avalon City Council for several years; Ralph Morrow, the Mayor of Avalon and resident since 1972.

Guests include Deb Jensen, Director of Education for the Catalina Island Conservancy and Kathy Ann Miller, Director of Education for the Wrigley Institute for Environmental Studies.
