Host Larry Mantle talks with author, and journalist Mark Hertsgaard about his new book The Eagle’s Shadow: Why America Fascinates and Infuriates the World. Hertsgaard visited fifteen countries in six months to gather outsiders’ perceptions of America. From sophisticated business and political leaders, to Islamic fundamentalists, Hertsgaard found these individuals to be conflicted about their feelings regarding America; admiring, and uneasy, envious, but appalled, good and bad, but never indifferent.
