Fire update
Firefighters have made progress on the Station Fire, which has burned more than 144,000 acres, but now is 38% contained. The fire is moving to the southeast above Pasadena, Sierra Madre, and Monrovia, and also west toward Pacoima Canyon, prompting the evacuation of 11 homes. Officials believe the Station Fire was caused by humans, though they are unsure whether it was deliberately set. Larry Mantle finds out the latest developments.

I wish someone would report on the camping areas in Angeles National Forest. We have camped at Chilao Campground, the Coulter camp group ... and what about the Chilao Visitors Center ... It seem like Newcombs Ranch is out side the fire line but is it?

Please ask the guest about the architectural flaw in building gutters to take water from the hillsides. If nature was allowed to maintain rain & fog water where it lands, rather than mandating that it flow to gutters and to the sea quickly, these fires would not be so prevalent or intense.
