Inventing L.A.
As Los Angeles grew in wealth and power during the 20th century, so did the Chandler family of the Los Angeles Times. In "Inventing L.A." a book based on the documentary by Peter Jones, veteran L.A. Times reporter Bill Boyarsky chronicles how one family used their newspaper to wield power and shape Los Angeles in the process. Boyarsky joins Larry Mantle to discuss how the Chandlers influenced the region.
