In LA's largest single building contract ever, LAX has been awarded $1.3 billion for a complete renovation of its international terminal. Will the jobs created and presumed bump to tourism and provide the economic boost we need?

Besides bringing public transportation directly into the airport the hours of availability of public transport need to be expanded. If your flight returns in the early evening there are no trains, even if you are willing to take the shuttle to the train. It's a chickena and egg thing--if public transport is there people will use it.

I love living in Torrance....but every time I hear Janice Hahn speak I wish I could vote for her! She is articulate, sounds natural ....she just sounds "real". Everything she said about the LAX project makes sense. We need a world-class airport if we are to compete. The rail line stopping a mile away MUST have served someone's intere$ts at the time----I wonder whose? Thanks Jance for speaking so clearly about that. And thanks Larry for having her on your program. I hope you'll spotlight Janice and her perspectives on all our regional and state issues in the future!
