With so many achievements of USC under President Sample’s leadership, I found it very noteworthy that Larry Mantle cited USC’s position as the “largest international university” in the US. Dr. Sample’s vision of internationalizing USC will prove to be one of his most enduring contributions to the University and to our local community. He leaves USC ideally positioned to fulfill its role as one of the world’s leading academic institutions in the Pacific Century, and also as a driving force in the economic, cultural and social development of Southern California.
