Tom Campbell: GOP candidate for governor
Frank Stoltze/KPCC
He's a former Congressman and the former dean of the Haas School of Business at U.C. Berkeley. He'd like his next job title to be Governor of California. But he's got less than $1 million in his campaign war chest...against millionaire Steve Poizner and billionaire Meg Whitman. Can Campbell overcome the money challenges and defeat his rivals for the Republican nomination? And then what about going head-to-head with Jerry Brown, currently the only major contender for the Democrats?

What does Tom believe we should do about term limits? Are the positive or negative to good governance?

Mr. Campbell is a Republican and is pro-choice and supports marriage equality for same-sex couples? I'm so confused. Does he also support a complete and solid wall of separation between church and state?

Please ask Mr. Campbell what he is going to do to deal with our over crowded prison system and reduce the power of prison guard unions whose member's salaries take badly needed and limited state funds that should be going for our education system. Can he do this without raising our taxes too much ?

Dr. Campbell has referred several times to subjecting regulations to "cost-benefit analyses" every 5 years. Traditionally, such measures have done a poor job of calculating the actual social cost of things like environmental degradation. How does he propose to ensure that such costs are accounted for under such a system?

y'know, there is really no such a thing,
Constitutionally, as the "separation
of church & state;" it seems that
the Liberal media / owned by consWervatives beleives
that teh First Amendment is the very same thing.
well, just look-up the digest of the "case law"
on Nexis/lexis on the Constitution;
it's just as clear from that, as it is
for the Second Amendment (a-hem).

... in other word, antidysestablishmentarianists
have promulgated "no Child Left Behind,
come the Rapture," and "Faith-based Initiatives."

Tom Campbell just sounds like another Arnold Schwarzenegger. He is a supporter of AB32. No one in their right mind is going to put their business is this state with that looming on the horizon. He wants to raise gas taxes, as if we aren't taxed enough. He wants to "bring Republicans and Democrats together" as Arny would say. We don't need to bring them together. We need an iron fisted governor who has the guts to put a stop to this out of control legislature.
