Frances Beinecke recently handed Ban Ki-Moon a slim volume with an urgent message: we must act aggressively to halt climate change and we must act now. Frances Beinecke, author of Clean Energy Common Sense (loosely modeled on Thomas Paine’s Common Sense), a call to action on global warming. Beinecke is the president of the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC), one of the nation’s largest environmental action organizations.
