In this handout satellite image provided by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Hurricane Earl moves past the North Carolina coast September 3, 2010 in the Atlantic Ocean as seen from space.

A larger, weaker Hurricane Earl is expected to reach coastal New England by tonight, though warnings there have been downgraded. No injuries have been reported in North Carolina, as strong winds and rains hit the outer banks this morning. The National Hurricane Center joins Larry with the latest forecast.
