Is a public video a good way to quit your job?
Quitting with a flourish, is what 25- year-old Marina Shifrin did when she announced via a video she was done working at a Taiwanese animation company. In her video, where she is dancing to a Kanye West song in an empty newsroom at 4:30am, she states that the company’s only interest was quantity and not quality. Martin De S’pinto wrote an open letter to Reuters about quality of content before leaving the news agency.
Should you quit your job so publicly? Will it brand your identity and be potentially harmful for future employment opportunities? Or will your fifteen minutes help skyrocket you toward better prospects?
