AirTalk At The Los Angeles Police Academy
Larry Mantle heads to the LA Police Academy coffee shop for a live-remote broadcast to cover the history of the Academy, the current challenges in training, recruiting, retaining LAPD officers, and more. National Missle Defense

And is it worth the price, both economically and politically? Larry Mantle talks with USC°s Edwin Smith, and James Lindsay of the Brookings Institution.

Changes at the Farmers Market
The area surrounding the historic Farmers Market on Fairfax and Third in Los Angeles is being transformed by commercial development. This development is decades in the making and includes a shopping mall, multiplex cinema, and condominiums. Larry Mantle will discuss the various projects, the neighborhood reactions to the development, the impact these changes will have on the neighboring community and the Farmers Market.

Diabetes
Did you know diabetes is affecting more and more Angelenos and striking earlier than ever before? Larry Mantle will talk with president-elect of the American Diabetes Association, Dr. Fran Kaufman, about reasons for the disturbing rise diabetes diagnoses, especially among Latinos and Blacks, as well as the latest advances in research and treatment.

Bush Administration Amnesty for
Mexican Immigrants

A White House task force issued a report urging President Bush to rethink his immigration policy and consider granting amnesty to the more than three million undocumented Mexicans living in the United States. Larry Mantle speaks with USC°s visiting fellow Denise Dresser about the report's recommendations, how the Bush administration is already backing away from immigrant amnesty, the Mexican government's role in developing this policy, the potential political ramifications of such a policy shift for Bush and more.
