Supermarket Strike (Listen)
Grocery workers from the United Food and Commercial Workers Union walked off the job in Southern California on Saturday at Safeway's, Vons and Pavilions stores for the first time in 25 years. MTA Strike Pending (Listen)
The MTA and the Amalgamated Transit Union, the union that represents its mechanics, have failed to come to a settlement, leaving open the possibility of a strike that could devastate a majority of the County's bus and rails lines. Larry Mantle speaks with Neil Silver, the leader of the Amalgamated Transit Union, the MTA's mechanics union, and Marc Littman, spokesman for the MTA.

Teamsters Strike Involvement (Listen)
The International Brotherhood of Teamsters is honoring the grocery workers strike by picketing two key food distribution centers; Vons in El Monte and Albertsons in Brea. On Wednesday the Union threatened to extend picketing to all the other seven additional food distribution centers in support of striking grocery workers. Larry Mantle talks with teamster head Jim Santangelo about the prospects of this action.
