The dual life of a '60s-era radical
file photo of the late Bay area activist, Richard Masato Aoki
Richard Aoki was a huge figure in the 60's radical activist movement. He was one of the Bay Area's most most visible activists, he supplied the Black Panther Party some of its first firearms and weapons training, and he was the only Asian American to have a formal leadership role with the group. But he also had a secret. According to a recently released report, he was an undercover FBI informant.
