Earthquake swarms jolt SoCal
U.S. Geological Survey
A screenshot of earthquake occurrences in the California Nevada region via the U.S. Geological Survey website. The red boxes indicate quakes that have rattled Brawley Sunday.
Aftershocks are still being felt after Sunday's "swarm" of earthquakes here in southern California.
They took place in and around the town of Brawley near the Mexican border. There were no reports of injuries -- but there was property damage and power outages.
To geologists like Lucy Jones that area is known as the Brawley Seismic Zone.
