Need something to chat about over dinner this week?

Rico Gagliano and Brendan Francis Newnam, hosts of The Dinner Party — formerly The Dinner Party Download — have some ideas for you.

Do famous people smell better?

The Awl web site compiles a list of what different celebrities smell like, based on news stories.

Rihanna - coconut and vanilla (Esquire)
Taylor Swift - "expensive wood" (Late Night with David Letterman)
Miles Davis - chicken soup (interview given to Ebony)

A Japanese bombardier Nobuo Fujita attempted to start a fire in the forests of Oregon. But the forests were damp from recent rains, and the bombs were considered useless.

Twenty years later, Fujita was invited by the community of Brookings to attend their annual Azalea parade.

Goodbye, human race
