The National Hockey League is bracing itself for a lockout.
On one side, owners who want a bigger share of the income that comes from sales of hockey merchandise, like jerseys, hats, key chains, etc.
On the other side are players who say the system's fine as it is, but the contract they currently have in place expires tonight.
If no new agreement is reached, the league will lock the players out.
