Anschutz Entertainment Group, known as AEG, recently announced it's up for sale.

AEG owns Staples Center, the Home Depot Center, the L.A. Kings, the L.A. Galaxy and they have an ownership stake in the Lakers. Basically, the company dominates professional sports in Los Angeles.

It also is a major player on the concert and entertainment scene. AEG owns the L.A. Live entertainment complex in Downtown L.A., and it produces music festivals like Coachella and Stagecoach through Goldenvoice.

AEG's currently owned by Philip Anschutz, a reclusive 71-year-old billionaire who lives in Denver, and 39th on the Forbes list of richest Americans.
