The Recession is Dead

You no doubt caught the news – according to the National Bureau of Economic Research, the recession is over. Put away your worries about a double-dip. Because if things go from bad to worse, that downturn will be a whole new recession.
If the news that the bad times are over seems a little premature to you, it did to us as well. Our Steve Proffitt looks at some other calamities, disasters and generally unpleasant episodes that, while they may have been declared officially kaput, continue to cause discomfort.
