Allegations that Meg Whitman knowingly employed an illegal immigrant housekeeper and then fired her when she launched her bid for governor promises to challenge the republican candidate’s chance with Latino voters.

Meg Whitman's political team is calling the revelations "clearly a coordinated political attack" by attorney Gloria Allred, labor unions and Jerry Brown's campaign. “It’s some sleazy old political trick from a sleazy old politician," Whitman advisor Mike Murphy said on Thursday.

Madeleine talks with KPCC reporter Frank Stolze about the latest developments in the housekeeper scandal. She then asks former Pew Hispanic Center director and New York Times journalist Robert Suro what the consequences on Whitman’s campaign may be.
