Advice for avoiding the presidential gridlock around USC on Friday

Multicultural L.A. jam band Ozomatli and comedian Jamie Foxx are two of the acts on the bill with President Obama this Friday at the University of Southern California.

Whether you are going or not, you’ll probably have to deal with the traffic brought on by a visit from the president. LAPD, LADOT and the California Highway Patrol have been working to minimize what is sure to be motorcade madness around USC.

Sanden Totten and Steve Proffitt tell us which roads to avoid and what happens if the president makes an impromptu trip to In-N-Out Burger.

The street closures are marked in purple. Expect partial and total closures from 9:30 a.m. to 2:50 p.m. on Friday. The roads to avoid are:

• Martin Luther King Boulevard between Figueroa Street and Vermont Avenue.

• Vermont Avenue between Martin Luther King Boulevard and Exposition Boulevard.

• Figueroa Street between Martin Luther King Boulevard and 39th Street.

• Exposition Boulevard between Vermont Avenue and Figueroa Street.
