The legacy of the Patriot Act
KPCC / Sanden Totten
Ahilan Arulanantham is a lawyer with the ACLU in Los Angeles. He stands next to his file cabinets full of national security cases, many of which involve the Patriot Act.
The Patriot Act is about to expire. It's still a temporary law and if it is not renewed it will sunset at the end of February. Congress is looking to extend it for another year. The law has been on the books for almost a decade now. Sanden Totten looks at the ways in which the Patriot Act has changed the legal profession.
