Foster care system could be shaken by court decision

Legislation being considered in Sacramento today would open family court proceedings to the public. Supporters say it would shine much needed light onto a system that has huge problems. Opponents worry that children would lose their privacy and be traumatized again. Karen de Sa, a reporter for the San Jose Mercury News who spent more than a year investigating these court proceedings, tells us what's at stake.
