Last night, 60 Minutes aired a report on CBS featuring an interview with Lance Armstrong's former teammate Tyler Hamilton. Hamilton charged that Armstrong used performance enhancing drugs during his time on the US Postal cycling team. Although Armstrong has repeatedly denied using banned substances, Hamilton told Scott Pelley of CBS News, that he'd witnessed the seven-time Tour de France winner using a drug called EPO, which increases the production of red blood cells and improves endurance. NPR sports correspondent Mike Pesca, joins Madeleine to talk about this and the use of performance enhancing drugs in other sports.
