Soldiers on the front line, but veterans back in the United States could be without financial benefits should the debt ceiling not be raised.

The economy and the nation are on edge as talks stall again on resolving the debt crisis. Speaker John Boehner has put off a vote until tomorrow. Groups who would be immediately affected if the debt ceiling isn't raised are preparing for the worst: news from Washington that there's no money to pay them. This includes members of the military. Veterans service organizations met with the White House yesterday to discuss what could happen if fund run out.
