New economic reports from Japan show that nation may be pulling out of a recession triggered by the March earthquake and tsunami. Although GDP declined, the drop was less than many economists expected, and now some are predicting a return to growth in the next quarter. Just back from Japan, our regular contributor Xeni Jardin, an editor for BoingBoing.net, joins us to talk about her experience traveling in Tokyo and Fukushima for a series of stories for PBS about the triple disaster.
