New details emerge about Mitrice Richardson's disappearance
Mitrice Richardson, 24, went missing after she was released from the Malibu police station on Thursday September 17, 2009.
Mitrice Richardson’s body was found a year ago this month. She had been missing for a year. Before her disappearance, the 24 year-old African-American woman went for a drive in Malibu. She stopped for dinner at Geoffrey's restaurant. But when the bill came, she had no money to pay it so the restaurant staff called the Sheriff. Mitrice was taken into custody but released just hours later with no cash and no means of transportation. Then she disappeared. Her body was later discovered just a few miles from the Sheriff's station in Lost Hills. But how she got there and what happened to her remains a mystery... We talk to Mike Kessler about a new wrinkle in Richardson’s disappearance. He wrote about her story for the September issue of Los Angeles magazine.
