In this handout image provided by Giffords Campaign - P.K. Weis, U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-AZ) sits with her mother Gloria Giffords (R) the day after the launch of NASA space shuttle Endeavour and the day before she had her cranioplasty surgery, outside TIRR Memorial Hermann Hospital May 17, 2011 in Houston, Texas.

A year ago this weekend, U.S. Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords was meeting with constituents at a Safeway in Tucson when suddenly, her world changed. A gunman opened fire. When the shooting stopped, six people were dead and 13 others were wounded. Giffords was one of the injured with a bullet wound to the head. Since then, she has been recovering her strength at a rehabilitation center in Houston. Arizona state representative Steve Farley joins us to talk about the past year for Giffords and Arizona.
