Republican presidential candidate Texas Governor Rick Perry has dropped out of the GOP race

Rick Perry announced Thursday morning he is dropping out of the GOP presidential race. A final tally of the votes in Iowa threw Mitt Romney's win there into question. ABC will air a potentially damaging interview Thursday with Newt Gingrich's ex-wife, two days before the important South Carolina primary.
