On this week's New Music Tuesday, our regular music critic Drew Tewksbury tours the globe and talks about the newest albums from Dublin-based Mexican duo Rodrigo y Gabriela and Belgian-born Australian Gotye.

Gotye - Making Mirrors

Gotye, real name Wouter "Wally" De Backer, releases Making Mirrors. The album has been soothing lovelorn hearts worldwide with songs like "Somebody That I Used to Know".

You can catch him live in Los Angeles on the Jimmy Kimmel show Feb. 1 and at the El Rey Theatre Feb. 2.

Rodrigo y Gabriela - Area 52

Rodrigo y Gabriela's newest album, Area 52, combines their trademark pair of acoustic guitars with a 13-piece backing band, forgoing new material for an overhaul of nine songs from past albums.

They'll be making their only Southern California stop at the Hollywood Palladium April 7.
