The film "Albert Nobbs" is about a woman who passes as a man in 19th century Ireland.

Albert Nobbs is played by Glenn Close, who has transformed herself into an introverted waiter who dreams of one day owning a little shop and maybe getting married.

Close is nominated for an Academy Award for her performance.

She joins the show from New York where she's on a short break from filming the TV show, "Damages."

Madeleine talks with Close about her gender-bending role in "Albert Nobbs" and the strong female characters who've helped define her career.
