L.A.'s cupcake battle is this weekend.

Meghan McCarty is back with a flavorful Weekend Alibi: There'll be a big showdown this Sunday, but first, Angelenos must step up to determine... the city's best cupcake. The top cupcake bakeries in the area are facing off. The public will decide which cupcake reigns in Los Angeles.

Plus, photographer Michael Miller will be showing off dozens of never-before-seen photos from his days documenting the West Coast hip hop scene this weekend.

Miller got his start photographing rappers when he shot the first album cover for a little project called Cypress Hill. Miller captured a who's who of West Coast hip hop. He'll be signing copies of his book at the opening Saturday night.

Finally, you could hide behind an overflowing bowl of nachos at a Super Bowl party -- or better yet, a New England or New York-themed dish. Dan Pashman of the Sporkful podcast shares his suggestions.
