Miramonte Elementary school is quiet today and classes have been canceled until at least Thursday. When they resume, an entirely new staff of teachers and administrators will take over at the South L.A. school where two teachers were arrested last week on allegations of lewd acts with students.
Superintendent John Deasy made the announcement at a tense community meeting Monday night.
He said the staffing change will be temporary, pending a full investigation at the school to determine what, if anything, teachers knew about the allegations.
The California Report's Krissy Clark spoke with parents at that meeting and brings us a report.
