Republican presidential candidate, former U.S. Sen. Rick Santorum speaks to supporters in Missouri.
Rick Santorum is now tied with Mitt Romney.
A New York Times/CBS News poll released this morning finds Santorum leading the race with 30 percent of Republican primary voters backing him. Santorum's rise comes from support from conservatives, evangelical Christians, and Tea Party supporters.
Romney comes in at a close second with 27 percent. The gap between the two is within the margin of error, but it's a big shift from Romney's once presumed frontrunner status. Santorum has even made big gains in Mitt Romney's home state of Michigan.
Guest:
Christina Bellantoni, the Politcal Editor with PBS NewsHour, joins the show to talk about the Republican presidential outlook.
