Out of all the people on Twitter, Andy Borowitz is arguably the funniest. The former television comedy writer whose credits include “Archie Bunker's Place,” “The Jeffersons” and "The Facts of Life" has recently taken Twitter by storm. The targets of his razor sharp barbs are overwhelmingly political, and more often than not, they are Republicans.
One of his most re-tweeted blasts occurred during last week's Republican presidential debate on CNN when he tweeted, "Now that we all agree contraception is a bad idea, let's take a harder look at electricity and soap. #cnndebate."
While many of his almost 200,000 followers are amazed by his lightning mental reflexes, Borowitz remains modest, "I really just say exactly what's on my mind."
You can catch Andy Borowitz tonight when he'll be sitting down for a conversation with comedian Patton Oswalt at the Saban Theater in Beverly Hills.
Andy Borowitz is a former television comedy writer. He now writes primarily for The New Yorker and his own website, The Borowitz Report.
