Nearly a hundred people met on the lawn of Pasadena City Hall in a dual rally for Kendric McDade and Treyvon Martin.
Hundreds gathered in Altadena on Saturday for the memorial of Kendrec McDade, the 19-year-old who was shot to death by Pasadena police last month.
Police were responding to a 911 caller who said two men robbed him at gunpoint. When officers spotted McDade, he allegedly reached for his waistband. One officer fired from inside his squad car. Another officer, who was on foot, also shot the teen. McDade was later found to be unarmed.
The FBI says it will open a civil rights investigation into the McDade case.
