In Port Angeles, Washington, fugitive Travis Nicolaysen keeps eluding the police — without much effort. Nicolaysen periodically checks up on his Facebook, talks to his friends, and has also recently changed his Facebook relationship status to single. He's available, ladies.

Matt Groening, creator of "The Simpsons," told Smithsonian Magazine that the city of Springfield in the show was based on the city of Springfield, Oregon.
