Trans-lit is a new term for novels that span time and space, jetting back and forth between the past, present, and future.
Author Hari Kunzru’s new novel falls under that category. It’s called “Gods Without Men” and takes place largely in California's Mojave desert. But the story really spans the globe and many centuries.
Kunzru joins the show to talk about his new book and his fascination with California’s desert areas.
Hari Kunzru is also the author of the novels "The Impressionist" (2002), "Transmission" (2004) and "My Revolutions" (2007).
