Commerce Secretary John Bryson seen in the State Dining Room of the White House in Washington.
Officials with the U.S. Commerce Department say it was a seizure that caused Commerce Secretary John Bryson to get into a series of car accidents in San Gabriel Saturday.
In a bizarre chain of events, the secretary allegedly crashed into the same Buick two times.
He then drove off and hit a second car before police found him unconscious at the wheel of his Lexus.
The secretary has deep ties to Southern California. He was formerly the head of Edison International and co-founder of the Natural Resources Defense Fund. He has a home in San Marino and he was visiting to give the commencement speech at Pasadena Polytechnic School.
KPCC's Frank Stoltze brings us an update on the investigation into the accidents.
