David Koch, executive vice president of Koch Industries, attends a meeting of the Economic Club of New York on April 11, 2011. Koch is donating a record $35 million to the Smithsonian’s National Museum of Natural History to build a new dinosaur hall on the National Mall. The Smithsonian is announcing the gift Thursday from the executive vice president of Koch Industries Inc. of Wichita, Kan. It is the single largest gift in the museum’s 102-year history.

They're rich, they're powerful and they'll be in San Diego this weekend. The Koch brothers, billionaire oil barons who have given millions of dollars for conservative causes, are hosting another clandestine gathering tomorrow.

Charles and David Koch have given money to groups such as Americans for Prosperity and The Heritage Foundation.

Chief investigative reporter for Politico, Kenneth Vogel, joins the show to discuss the Koch Brothers' meetings and their potential influence in the 2012 presidential race.
