Galco's Soda Stop in Highland Park will be holding a soda tasting of exotic beverages, such as the Bulgarian Mr. Q Cumber soda, pictured here.
This Sunday, Galco's Soda Stop in Highland Park will hold a soda tasting to benefit the Southwest Museum, which was closed due to lack of funding.
Galco's is a mecca for seekers of obscure soda pop, beer and candy. It houses about 500 different brands of artisinal, small batch and imported sodas.
Humorist and Americana collector Charles Phoenix will be on hand, serving up poptails and a soda pop cake and live musical guests will play.
Our Weekend Alibi producer, Meghan McCarty, stopped by Galco's to talk to owner John Nese. He gave her a preview of some of the 50 different sodas they'll be sampling on Sunday.
