The Los Angeles City Council is considering a proposal today that would shut down all 800 medical marijuana dispensaries in L.A. Hundreds of activists on both sides of the issue are expected to descend on city hall to make their case.
Medical marijuana would not be completely banned in the city, however. The proposed plan would allow people to grow their own, or form a collective of up to three people to grow and distribute marijuana among themselves.
