67 years ago today, Japan surrendered and World War II ended. The surrender came about a week after the Americans dropped two atomic bombs on the cities of Nagasaki and Hiroshima. Every year on August 15, Hiroshima remembers that day that killed about 200,000 people. Though 65 years have passed since that day, the two Japanese cities still fight for nuclear non-proliferation.
