California Team Wins Top Science Honor

Winning a chance to go on to the national finals and compete for the top $100,000 scholarship prize, cousins Sarah Waliany and Shelina Kurwa won the team honors at the regional level in the Siemens Competition, held at CalTech this weekend. The team spent close to two years working on their bioengineering research on breast cancer, which was described by a competition judge as "publishable, graduate level work." Sarah and Shelina talk with guest host Oscar Garza about their work.
