The Stoning of Soraya M.
As the political turmoil in Iran continues director Cyrus Nowrasteh brings audiences “The Stoning of Soraya M.” a film based on the true story of an Iranian woman and the injustice that took place in her village. The film’s principal roles are played by Iranian actors that are living in exile, including the film’s politically outspoken lead, Shohreh Aghdashloo.

Shohreh Aghdashloo, actress and outspoken Iranian expatriot. In "The Stoning of Soraya M" she plays Zahra, the doomed woman's aunt, who retold the event to an Iranian journalist.
