Hundreds of Mexican citizens die each year trying to cross into the U.S., upwards of 700 illegal immigrants are deported from the U.S. daily, there are the shockingly violent drug cartels reeking havoc at the border, and the recession is causing economic woes on both sides of our mutual border. Ambassador Arturo Sarukhan is here in Los Angeles meeting with top White House and California state officials, and he joins Patt today on the state of Mexico and relations between our two countries.
