Politicians behaving badly

Taping of conversations with journalists is not the only breach of political ethics in the news; a leaked confidential committee memo revealed internal investigations into the conduct of over two dozen House members. Are political ethics violations on the rise?

Not only do Ethics violations appear to be on the rise, they are just as shady as ever - like a movie from the 30's, not modern day America - take the LA County Board of Supervisors - please!
They allow a private welfare contractor for the LA GAIN Program (Maximus, Inc.) who lost a bid in a fair and open process, to hold over for a year and still refuse to re-issue the RFP. Maximus has a bad track record, suspensions, lawsuits, and has been underperforming on the contract so badly the ENTIRE STATE will be penalized this year. Yet a majority of our elected Supe's voted to give this company this lucrative contract extension. Why would they do that? Do you think that Maximus' nearly $200,000 in campaign contributions had anything to do with the Supe's vote? Yep, it's like Mr. Smith Goes To Washington, except Gloria Molina (the lone vote in opposition) is vying for the Jimmy Stewart role. Will it ever end?
BTW, is you want to save the taxpayers of LA County about $27,000,000.00 this year, you might want to contact you Supervisor and demand that they Re-Issue the RFP in the LA GAIN program!
