Storm update: it’s still raining
Workers clear a downed tree in a flooded intersection after heavy rain and strong winds moved into the area January 20, 2010 in Long Beach, California. Fearing the storms could touch off mudslides, officials evacuated nearly 800 homes in the foothills near Los Angeles today.
The threat of flash floods and mudslides continue as the strongest storm of the week may be rolling into Southern California today. Flood control channels are already at capacity, and residents of Long Beach are being told not to drive their cars today. Evacuation orders are still in place for 1000 homes – how’s the weather where you are?
